The Family Law and Child Welfare Division provides free legal services from an Africentric perspective. We assist with child protection matters, custody and visitation, child support, and emergency protection orders under the Domestic Violence Intervention Act (DVIA).

 

Our Family Law and Child Welfare services include:

 

• Providing legal representation in appropriate circumstances.

• Offering legal information and advice.

• Working with your lawyer on race-based issues that may be present in your case.

• Helping connect you with supports to aid family reunification.

• Providing mediation services.
